Spring is upon us! And with it comes the joy of serving the women of your church with exciting events, teas, and retreats. So to help you prepare, we've outlined 6 awesome Spring themes for your women's ministry events this year based on Isaiah 55.
As we studied Isaiah 55, we realized it could be called the "Springtime Chapter" of the Bible. Its encouraging words and poetic descriptions are like warm sunshine and healing rain on a heart broken down by a long cold Winter.
We've laid this study out for you as a simple acrostic spelling S-P-R-I-N-G. Feel free to use all 6 of these Spring theme ideas as part of a whole women's ministry events series/weekend retreat, or focus on the one that God puts on… Read more »
Don't throw away that logo you so passionately drew on a paper towel thinking it will never see the light of day. A ministry gear designer can save the day by bringing your drawing to life.
We Will Make Something Out Of Your Drawing
One of the questions we usually get when somebody call us is this: "Would you be able to help me with my logo design? - To which our answer is YES! Followed by the question, "But I drew it on a napkin or a piece of paper, is that ok? - To that, we say, "Absolutely!"
We know how to make a cool t-shirt out of your drawing. We consider it our passion to bring “life” to your ideas by helping you see your napkin sketches… Read more »
In continuing our efforts to keep you updated on ways to improvise your shirts –and make fun craft activities, and save up – while you’re at it at it, we are sharing with you how tie dyed shirts make a stylish craft. Here at MinistryGear "research and development" department, we created some tye-die shirts and wanted to show you step-by-step how to create these yourself.
Does this work as a group activity?
Last summer we received a call from Stacey of Christ Evangelical Lutheran church, asking us to print simple white shirts for her group. She shared her amazing idea of how to tie-dye the t-shirts. We couldn’t have been more excited for them as we imagine how fun and exciting it must be to design a shirt and yet wait… Read more »
The “dress” that launched a thousand views and created the rising social debate about its real color has not escaped our attention. And like everyone; we looked, we judged, and we chuckled to ourselves... Some of us see white and gold and others see blue and black. This is so interesting to us at Ministry Gear because all day long we are presenting colors to you, and we do everything we can to make sure you see the same color that we do. As this dress demonstrates that is not as simple as it sounds.
The truth of the matter is, seeing isn’t always believing when it comes to colors, and why we see what we want to see. Just like the colors in that dress… Read more »
As I cleaned out the outer rim of my closet this past week I came across one my summer camp t-shirts from years past. ( Way before the internet!) It brought tears to my eyes as I remembered God’s love and faithful promises to me. I smiled thinking about all the fun and friends that I made that week at camp. Yes, the t-shirt may have been worn, distressed and old but those memories will never fade. Can a t-shirt really do that? You betcha! How can we make t-shirts today that will be just as effective and bring up powerful memories for years to come. I started to think back to when I got the shirt.
It was the summer of 1990, my friends and I just enjoyed the… Read more »
How long have you been in the business? Since 1993 I started ImpactShirts when I was in college and working in your ministry. MinistryGear.com was launched in 2009.
What got you started in it? That is, what interested you? I was serving in youth ministry in the early 1990's and going to college to get my degree in graphic design. When the pastor at the time asked me to design a shirt for an upcoming waterski trip, I was hooked from that day forward. The next thing I knew my best friend Mike Millet were in business together and we were staying up late printing T-Shirts for all types of church events and local businesses in our area. You can read more here about the start of the business.

Great graphic design is not the most important thing, but it helps drastically when you are telling a story. The gospel story is the most important story there is. So we need to do all we can to make it great, that is where design comes in. The world uses great design all day long to tell it's story. Think about how well movie studios use graphics to advertise their upcoming releases with the imagery, fonts, icons and colors that reinforce their storyline. In comparison, church graphics often times come up short.
"If we are printing it, we'll gladly design anything for your church for free."
I have included these mockups we have done for "The Forge Youth Group" on the right so you can see to what… Read more »
Promote Your Church Website on Your Shirts: This is not directly about Church T-Shirts, but more specifically about why you should include your church website on shirts when possible. Not just T-shirts, but why not put your website on church building and signs and anything printed.
A church website may be one of the single greatest ways to explain what your church is about, what your church's core beliefs are, what ministries are available to people and when things are happening at your church. Does your site have a section for the primary ministries that operate at your church, Youth Ministry, Children's Ministry, Outreach, VBS, Summer Retreats, the church garage sale, and things like this, I bet it does. Obviously then, you want as many people from… Read more »

Guessing t-shirt quantities can be scary, especially if this is your first time. It would be great if you knew ahead of time exactly who's attending, who gets a shirt and what size they need. But this is the real world and we don't have the info up front.
Don't worry. With a little thought, you can eliminate much of the guessing and ensure t-shirt order bliss.
Here's how it's done:
Start with the number of shirts. Do you need 25 shirts or 350 shirts? Depending on your situation you may know exactly how many shirts you need or you may need to make a good estimate. Lets say you decide on 42 shirts. That's good for now. On to step 2.
Check the quantity discounts. Ministry Gear has price breaks at 25, 50, 75,… Read more »
